Submission Guidelines

The Editorial Board of Bichi Journal of Education (BIJE) invites scholarly research articles and position papers for publication in our bi-annual journal. Contributors must adhere to the following guidelines:

  1. Manuscripts should be prepared in Microsoft Word format, using Times New Roman 12-point font, double-spaced with 1-inch margins on all sides.
  2. The latest American Psychological Association (APA) 7th Edition referencing style must be used.
  3. Articles should be between 12-15 pages including references, tables, and figures.
  4. Each manuscript must include: Title, Author(s) name(s), institutional affiliation(s), contact details, abstract (150-250 words), keywords (4-6), and the main text.
  5. A publication fee of ₦15,000 should be paid to: Bank: First Bank, Account Name: BIJE Publications, Account Number: 2023010013.
  6. Authors must submit both the manuscript and proof of payment.
  7. Tables and figures should be properly numbered and titled.
  8. Manuscripts should be free from plagiarism and must not be under consideration elsewhere.

Online submissions should be made through this portal. For offline submissions, manuscripts can be sent as email attachments along with scanned proof of payment to: bije@fcetbichi.edu.ng.

Publication Schedule

BIJE is published bi-annually in June and December. Volumes are numbered sequentially by year (e.g., Volume 10 for 2023), with two issues per volume (Issue 1 for June, Issue 2 for December).

Peer Review Process

All submissions undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process. Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two subject experts. The review process typically takes 4-6 weeks. Authors will be notified of the editorial decision and provided with reviewer feedback.

Publication Ethics

BIJE adheres to international standards for publication ethics. All submitted manuscripts must be original work that has not been published elsewhere or is under consideration by another journal. Authors must disclose any conflicts of interest and ensure proper attribution of cited work.
